dedicated to all of you~♪

Being an upcoming fashion brand, she waned to share her goals,

inspiration, and what she wants her brand to represent.

『"Hello everyone,

Lately within the Lolita fashion, there are many different brands

with their own aesthetic, geared towards a specific style of Lolita like over
the top sweet, classic, hime just to name a few. Chantilly is a classic Lolita
brand, but it is also Gothic, and even sweet. I feel it is a mix of many
different styles, a brand that cannot be placed under one category.

When someone has a Chantilly dress or an accessory, and
they think "I want to wear a really cute coordinate today" they can. Then

another day, they can take the same item(s) and have a classical
coordinate, or a Gothic coordinate. I would like my customers to be able to

think of a style they want to wear that day, and have the clothes conform

to that style.

A fashion, a brand born in Japan, I want it to spread around

the world to all of the people who love, and want to wear "kawaii." I
would like to keep designing and creating items that would bring happiness
and smiles to all of those who wear it.

Today I would like to introduce to you . . .

CHANTILLY HALF BONNETS!!

☆Fun fact: Chantilly does NOT get their bonnets mass produced,
each one is handmade by the designer herself.

So they never come out exactly the same,

each one is one of a kind.

We were lucky to get our hands on three different kinds （≧ｖ≦●)

Diamond check half bonnet - Black

One the most popular bonnets from Chantilly!!
Even without a bright color, the bold black and white diamond prints still make a statement.
To not take away from the print, she uses just the right amount
of black small rose lace around the brim , and a strip of large
black lace on the top of the bonnet. Don't forget the cute bow on the side!

Diamond check half bonnet - Red

A bright red diamond print with contrasting stripes,

this will catch anyone's eye.

For trim she uses a lot of white small rose shaped lace,
and lets not forget that amazing ribbon on the side!
Just with the use of different size stripes, draws attention.

Black x Black Rose Lace Half Bonnet

Just because this bonnet is all black,
doesn't mean she cuts back on the details!!

There is a very large volume of scalloped laser cut lace on the inside,
and a generous amount of black small rose lace used as trim inside and out.

The large rose lace on the outer top of the bonnet is beautiful.
(This picture does not do this bonnet justice!!)

They all have alarge/wide brim, that is
every complimenting to almost any face shape.
Great with the mori dolly type hair.

How Gothic Lolita is getting involved with Anime

This post is about how recently Gothic Lolita are getting more invovled in the Anime world.

Many people misunderstand by thinking gothic lolita fashion as a cosplay.

And I know many people do not like this situation.

On the new March 2011 KERA, I found this:

In Japan, Harajuku fashion and Akihabara fashion used to be very different.

But recently, they are merging together and being notified as the same genre.

Also famous gothic and lolita brands are collaborating with Animes.

For example, Angelic Pretty collaborted with the anime, "Shiki"


Also Putumayo, Metamorphose, Algonquins, Atelier Pierrot, BPN did a collaboration with anime "Shiki" as well.

Innocent World is doing a collaboration with the anime just started this month called
"Gosick"

KERA P.168

BTSSB and AATP is doing a collaboration with an anime starting soon called,
"Bibliotheca Mystica de Dantalian"

For myself, I like to watch anime and I get excited when one of my favorite brands are designing the character's clothes.

Also I think Anime is one of the best culture in Japan (including Gothic & Lolita fashion) that Japan should be proud of.

But at the same point, it is frustrating to be told by people how gothic lolita fashion is just a cheap cosplay...

Hello!

The end of the year is coming up, and we wanted to do a vote to end the year!!
We want to ask everyone, "Which brand is your most favorite?"
The vote is taken at: http://community.livejournal.com/egl/16698895.html#cutid1

This will only include brands from Japan (no off-brands).

Any genre is fine: punk, gothic, lolita, casual, etc.
For example:
Angelic Pretty, Baby the Stars Shine Bright, Swimmer, SPR, etc...

Please include the brands we carry right now too.
For example,
Putumayo, Atelier Pierrot, Listen Flavor, Algonquins, etc..
If you can't pick the best one from you favorite brand list, you can list up to 3!!
The vote will go on until 01/01/11 and we will take count and announce on EGL again for the results.
We will consider the brands that got majority votes to be one of the brands we carry!
We will contact the brands that did well, and do our best to carry them,
so everybody will be able to get there hands on more great Japanese brands easier and affordable!!
